Every summer, car enthusiasts flock to The Great American Run, a coast-to-coast driving adventure across North America. This rally is inspired by the widely successful European Cannonball Run events and is not a race in the traditional sense. On the day of the event, all drivers will start from one of four originating cities -- New York, Washington D.C., Atlanta and Miami -- and will meet up for a stop in Las Vegas before the final stretch to Los Angeles. Between the starting city and Las Vegas, you and your teammate will need to navigate through a series of checkpoints and challenges. The best part? The Great American Run and Winter Classic Draws Near
Inspired by the European Cannonball Run which has been highly successful, The Great American Run brings cross-country racing to the United States. This is a coast-to-coast North American adventure that draws thousands of car enthusiasts every summer. However, fans need to know that this is not a race in the traditional sense. Instead of going around a track, all entrants/teams depart from an originating city – Miami, Atlanta, Washington, DC, or New York – and then make their way across the country to their next meeting point, Las Vegas. From there, drivers (whose cars use more discount auto parts from PartsGeek) make the final leg of the race towards Los Angeles.
Throughout the entire race, all driver teams must make their way through various checkpoints and complete a number of challenges.
