Winter Challenge 2005
Cannonballers left Gatwick late Saturday evening - crossing the channel at Dover, heading off into the night for the run down the centre of France.
Once off the ferry it did not take long for those with a vested interest to start tracking the group as Cannonballers where stopped numerous times by the French Authorities. Documents examined they were back on their way, with the a new Cannonballer in tow - a French Police Helicopter shadowing them on route.
Cannonballers arrived in Val D'Isere Sunday afternoon and completed a lap of the town before settling into their accomodatation. News had quickly spread, and TV Crews and Newspapers were waiting to catch an interview. |

Monday saw Cannonballers take to the slopes, tearing up the mountain and making the most of the perfect weather and snow conditions.
That evening the first of the challenges started as the group took to the Ice track in in quads, karts and cars - the true competitive colours were displayed as cannonballers did whatever it took to get the points!

| Tuesday saw Cannonballers take part in the Espace Killy Challenge, a ski/snowboard race across the whole valley, using their wits to take the quickest route using the vast lift system. Cannonballers regrouped further down the valley, where they then descended by torch light to the slopes below where a crowd had gathered, wondering why a Lamborghini and V6 Clio were driving up the slope to greet the descending group! |

On Wednesday Cannonballers took to the pistes in groups, tearing it up on the vast amount of runs and board parks. The M3 team used this opportunity to unvail their new Cannonball Weapon - a jet pack capable of taking the attached user upto 4000 feet! this was used to great effect, propelling users on skis across the runways, even pushing a land rover around a car park! |
Off-piste Skidoos were the petrol fix for Thursday, as the group were guided off for an off-piste session.
Friday was a free session, and most Cannonballers took the opportunity to enjoy the perfect snow conditions before preparing to head back to the UK.
